Great stuff is happening this year.

Sometimes the mechanics of what we're doing here at the slam can be mysterious. Let me break it down for you. We've got a few main projects:
- Regular slam at The Neurolux, where poets can compete to represent Boise at the Individual World Poetry Slam (February) and the National Poetry Slam (August). Third Monday of every month (see calendar).
- The Reading and Workshop Series, which brings in poets from around the country to workshop with locals and to perform at the regular slam. This is sponsored by the Idaho Commission on the Arts, The Boise Weekly, and the Boise City Arts Commission.
- Outreach events, which vary by our inspiration. Check the calendar page to read about upcoming outreach events. If you have an idea for an event, write to us and let us know!
